May 2009

On April 12th my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.
I don't keep secrets so there's no reason for me to hide behind it.
This website is very important to me, but family comes first.
I'm so very sorry for the delays in recent orders.
She's healing now and is cancer free after surgery.
Thank all of you for all of your kind emails, notes and phone calls.
My family is the most important thing to me and I'm happy that we are moving forward.

Thank you for your patience and well wishing emails.

February 5th, 2009

Ordering will close February 28th to give me time to finish preparing for my brother's wedding and the Dances of Vice "Le Sacre du Printemps" show.

Thanks to all the New York Lolitas and models who will be helping all of us, myself, Apatico, Scoundrelle's Keep and Megan Maude, at this show. You're amazing!

For the first time ever, I'm collaborating with another designer, Heather Luca of Scoundrelle's Keep, on a special line.

Titled "Tanz Grotesk", this line is based on a short story, an online pulp novel if you will, written by my brother Achilles Sangster (also the namesake of my mens line).

The story Tanz Grotesk will be available to download chapter by chapter until fall and corresponding clothing items will be available on both Blasphemina's Closet and Scoundrelle's Keep for the duration of the story.

The new Blasphemina's Closet/Marching Achilles line PULP will also be available after Dances of Vice.

The women's line Penny Dreadful, though darker, will be available in lighter color so don't think I've gone strictly gothic. This line has more lush fabrics (brocades) and classic silhouettes.

The men's line Penny Blood is more refined than the previous Marching Achilles aesthetic. Vests, dress shirts and sweaters. Comfy, classic and battle-ready :3

Orders will resume March 25th.

Several items have been taken down since they seem to be very popular in the pictured fabrics (which I'm sold out of), so if there was an item you loved but don't see it, I may be able to make it in different fabric.

January 2009

Ordering is open as of January 5th. The new line will be up in March, so if you see an item you like, now is the time to get it, since there will be updates and changes. The Olivia Blouse is on hiatus. The Leela jumper is only available in fabrics of your choice. Thanks to everyone for making 2008 such an amazing year. I have met many amazing people and made many new and great friends. From me and mine, I wish you all Happy Holidays and a Fancy New Year.

Welcome back to Blasphemina's Closet! It's been a few years since the last overhaul, huh? Well, I'm excited to have you all back at my little shop. As promised, this is a faster loading, less crashy site. We're still working out the bugs, so I appreciate your patience during the process. You may have noticed some new items as well as the lack of old favorites. Well, while we are re-working the over-all look of the site, we're also going to be doing some new photoshoots so that details on items can be seen more clearly. If there was something you really liked but don't see, email me and we can chat :)

Now that that's all said and done, I'd just like to thank everyone for the support and love over the last year while I worked things out, started my blasted convention (which set order back, so sorry) and was crushed over the postponement of my wedding. I hope to do my very best to continue making you all happy and fancy! ~ Samantha Rei
